PRIVACY

What we collect and who sees it

This page explains, in plain language, what is public on Design Talk Careers, what stays private, and how we handle resumes and applications. Last updated January 2025.

What is public

  • Portfolio projects a student chooses to publish
  • A student profile, if the student sets it to public
  • Job and internship listings posted by employers

You control what you publish. Anything you have not marked public stays private.

What is private

  • Your email address
  • Your resume
  • Your job applications, and who you applied to
  • An employer's contact email

How resumes are shared

Your resume is never public. It is only shared with a specific studio at the moment you apply to that studio's listing. The link we send is time-limited and expires, so a studio cannot pass it around indefinitely or access it after the window closes.

We do not sell data

We do not sell your information to third parties, and we do not share your private details with employers you have not applied to.

Analytics

We use basic analytics to understand how the board is used, such as which pages get visited and how listings perform. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you individually.

Deleting your data

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by writing to hello@mydesigntalk.com. We will confirm once it is done.
